Adepticon Team Tourney Champ Pictures

By Spaguatyrine

So here are the Pictures and army list from 'They Shall Know Fear', winners of the Adepticon Team Tournament 2012.  The leader of the team ......

Is Hulksmash, AKA Brad Townsend from hulksmash-homeplace.  Hulk had this great idea after playing in the tournament last year to make a team of good players who could mesh well together.  After the Nova Open Invitational and Grand Tournament,  Hulk and Dash of Pepper asked Nick Nanavati and Andrew Gonyo to join their team.  Due to some unfortunate luck Dash was unable to play this year and I was asked to sub for him.  With Andrew's amazing skills at painting, and converting, the idea was born that an army of 4,000 points painted by 1 person would do better than painted by 4.  And so the journey began.  Mad props to Brad for dreaming big and delivering the prize.  With a great army list x 4, a great paint scheme, and 4 good players that meshed well together, the battle was fought and won on April 21st, 2012.

As you can see the lifts to bring the vehicles up onto the main level were tricky but Andrew did an amazing job.  There are a lot of rivets and special work that went into the display board.  The we had some special purity seals made by Johnny Rockstar in Indy.
We each have our own name as befits to our HQ choice.  3 Lord Inquisitors and 1 Grand Master.
We will have more pictures in the future.
And just because here is a real Sister's of Battle.
We have adopted a new saying for next year but that will have to wait.... :)

  5. Great post Spag!

I'll have to say it was definitely a team effort, Brad was an awesome leader and did a good job bringing everyone together, Spag himself was great at helping coordinate efforts in the final months/days, and just in general a positive/motivating person to have on the team, and Nick helped with list tweaks/free gropes. Besides all that pre-prep, everyone played excellent day of, kept their cools in stressful games, and had a good time. Couldn't have asked for a better team or team tournament experience honestly, which meant a lot to me after doing all of the painting/modelling for the army. I'll also mention, our strategy was to have one cohesive army and as such, it needed to be painted by one person, the guys on the team offered consistently to help out with whatever I needed, they didn't duck it at all!
