I know it would be a lot of work given all the new colors, but it would be a great resource!Canis Nebulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17203140798061386580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519319818452068646.post-76501036942636642782012-04-12T09:50:09.504-04:002012-04-12T09:50:09.504-04:00Admittedly I have become very comfortable with the...Admittedly I have become very comfortable with the good old paints of ole that GW has put out in the past, but I have heard several good things regarding the new paints.

I'll probably still buy the old paints until I can't (change is scarewee :P) but I think the majority of this comes out of the way I paint, and concerns for colors matching the old. I use two foundations of old, namely Adeptus Battlegrey and Charadon Granite... of which I haven't seen a replacement for the Charadon.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep up my painting without too much of a hitch, but it is exciting to see GW put out better product without delving deeper into my ever shrinking excess fundage.Godfreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01135683206541776998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519319818452068646.post-48589727854748753852012-04-11T19:39:24.982-04:002012-04-11T19:39:24.982-04:00So far, I've found the base colour paints to b...So far, I've found the base colour paints to be less effective on a black undercoat than the old foundation range. Probably the best addition to the range I've come across so far is the range of textured paints. They seem to work really well for weathering vehicles and texturing scratch-built buildings. However, that said, they look truly awful on a infantry figure base.Lead Legionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12700198528204457272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519319818452068646.post-78296055918407263282012-04-11T12:36:10.394-04:002012-04-11T12:36:10.394-04:00So in your opinion there's little difference b...So in your opinion there's little difference between snot and warpstone? You sir made my crappy day much brighter. I have a salamander army and only enough snot green to paint part of my additions to match.wintermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387213368473553942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519319818452068646.post-50799150721735448682012-04-11T08:24:43.217-04:002012-04-11T08:24:43.217-04:00Not sure what the feel is like in america re prici...Not sure what the feel is like in america re pricing, but here in australia its pretty poor following last years rise and embargo.

I've had it direct from senior management that we wouldn't see a price rise with the paints this year because sentiment is so low in the customer base. All bets are off though come the new year.

The price is actually one of their main selling points to veterans. Its like they know we rarely use their brand, but look its new and magic and we didn't raise the price, see the price is the same, see, do you see it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
