I love my DMax! Only other 8-kill game I had was a last-round-of-ammo victory with my Marder II. Would have been 9 kills this game if I hadn't shot wide at that KV before a Hellcat snuck up on my flank. Oh well... I still made bank. :)

Way back before I had a clue, I sold my Dicker Max.
ReplyDeleteI had purchased it before I really knew what I was doing and the cost of the ammo killed me. Fast forward many months now and I'm a slightly better player who now waits to make a good shot instead of shooting at everything that moves. I trundle around in my Jagdpanther, sporting the 10.5 cm gun, and regularly turn a profit.
My point, you ask?
I absolutely regret selling my Dicker Max.
The DMax does take time to learn to use properly. You can't play it like a StuG, because it can't take hits at all. You have to hug the backsides of hills and play forward/back peek-a-boo using your incredible gun depression. Even then, you're just screwed on some maps, when you don't have any hills to hide behind. Since bushes will hide you, but not stop a shot.
DeleteSo it's not my most-winning tank (40%). That would be the M3 Lee (75%). But it's hands-down my favorite tank to play, and it's a great credit earner.
Farmpunk says you can get your DMax back. Just call up Wargaming.net and ask. If you have enough credits to pay back the price you sold it for, they'll reverse one sale for each account.

DeleteI had one idiot berate me for using a Tiger for 600+ battles...like I was such a bad player (even with 51% wins in a Tiger)that it took me taht long tog et my Tiger II...I told the dumbass I LIKE the Tiger...it forces you to play well. Such idiots in the game sometimes...

DeleteI've been using the Tiger P a lot since its got better armor than the Tiger. The misleading protection of 200 front armor means i play it diff, maybe too aggressive.
