So I got a call from Uberdark up in Kokomo, who says he's heading down to Sinclair Games (our new favorite game store) to "Spend a $#!%-load of money" on Age of Sigmar. Would I like to come over to the store and hang out while he puts stuff together?

Seeing through his ploy to get me to help him put his new minis together, I told him to head on over to my place, which is only 5 minutes away. I then called up CaulynDarr, who's been wanting to do a proper critical examination of the game. I figured we'd get Uberdark's starter-set models put together, and then do a battle report.

Well, Gamer DMZ in Kokomo is starting off their new monthly tournament schedule by running an Indy Open primer tournament on the 23rd. A week before the big event itself here in Indy. And the prize support? It's quite nice for a tournament of this size.

There has had to be a date change for said tournament.  Due to some unforseen issues Gamer DMZ is rescheduling the tournament.  Everything about it is the same, but just pushed back one month.  Just post on here or email if you are in.

Thats right kids, Gamer DMZ is at it again.  With the great show of support for the last tournament we are going to do another tournament.  Prize support should be pretty good and I will list particulars as the month goes on.  I seem to be a glutton for pain and am going to keep the tourney at 32 people and it will be a modified w/l tournament, much like how the hive fleet indy guys did it the last time.  Here are the particulars thus far.

Dark Eldar 3rd Wave

This just in.  Awesomeness abounds.  A 3rd wave including DE Battleforce, Talos Pain Engine, Dark Cronos Parasite Engine, Dark Eldar Venom, and Scourges are all being released in June. 

I personally see a lot of great ideas coming from the use of both "engines."  The scourges are fantastic and the build looks great.  i would however like there to be two Battleforces.  One with 20 wyches and one with 20 Warriors.  That way you can focus on one kabal more.  Kind of like what the imperial guard do with catachan and cadians. 

Musings on a 1750 ork list

So I have been playing around with a few new builds of late. Heck whatever, its still orks, and still a fast playing army, but at 1500 I feel pretty happy with my build as long as I don't play Spag. lol. What I have is a decently "balanced" take on all comers list at 1750 for the upcoming tournament. The last time I made a 1500 list and posted here, all of you helped me immensely to make that list the best I could get. So here is the new list.

also due to the huge turn out for this.  something i wasnt sure if it was going to happen.  We are going to have a final 4th round for the top 4 players.  everyone else will play 3 and the other prizes will be given out at the end of the 3rd round. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prices will be given out at the end of the fourth game  This is the downfall of w/l tourneys.  But we hope you understand.

I'd like to take a moment and say wow.  just wow.  Yesterday I managed to go to g2d4 and play two awesome games.  Spag had originally set me up a game with scottydont but he was late in showing up, so caulynn darr and i threw down for a game of gk against my 1.5k orks tourney list ive been playing with.

Best 40k Moment

Yep your own war stories.  I can't tell you how many times over the years I have heard reminiscing of the best moments in 40k.  We all share them, and I for one love hearing them.  So I will share a few of my favorite moments in 40k, and please share some of yours.
