By Spaguatyrine

Yes I said it!  Complaining is a weakness of the human species.  I am no expert but here are some quotes from a few experts.....

Liking Or Disliking 6th: It Doesn't Mean Much

by SandWyrm

There's been some angry backlashes from the competitive community lately regarding the 'Leaked' 6th Edition PDF. Mostly based on disliking the changes in it. But liking or disliking the 'leaked' PDF does not mean anything when talking about it's validity.

Spaguatyrine's Dark Eldar Portfolio after 10+ test games

by Spaguatyrine

After more than 10 games I have finally come up with the force of my Dark Eldar that I will be running in future local tournaments.  They are not up to the level of my space wolves yet, but I feel they will be in 6 months of constant play.  Unfortunately I will not have them back until after the The Indy Open Grand Tournament in March.

"No It Isn't!" "Yes It Is!"

For AbusePuppy and Stelek. Just because you hate something doesn't mean it's fake. Or vice-versa. Let's try and keep it civil, eh?

A Commander Steps Forward

By TheGravemind

I always just liked the flavor text of this card.

More often then not, people like to have their HQs be the center piece of their army. I as well like my leaders to look good. I spend more time planning, assembling, and painting them. As I take more time on them, I feel I slowly improve and learn how to produce better looking models. I wanted to share the progress of some of this.

The Tau In 6th Edition: Good And Bad

by SandWyrm

I've had a request for a rundown of Tau in 6th Edition. Now, I'm not an experienced Tau player at all, but I do have a 2nd hand army of them that's waiting to be updated come 6th. I'm also fairly familiar with their rules. So here we go...

Grand Opening: The First GW In Indianapolis

by SandWyrm

Mrs. SandWyrm and I were out and about today, so we stopped by the new GW Store up on the North West side of Indianapolis to have a look around on opening day.

Training games

By TheGraveMind

While everyone has been in a scurry about the possibility of the 6th Ed leak, I've been focusing on perfecting my game in the current edition. With the goal set for a 2k list, it seems everyone is wanting more practice games at that point level. My old Nemesis has been trying out the Dark Eldar, seeing if that is what he will want to build and get ready for the Indy Open. We've played something like 6 games over the past week and a half.

FAQ update

By TheGraveMind

So it appears that the Faqs got updated yesterday or so. I haven't had time to go through all of them, but I figured I'd share the news for others to read. I did go through the Tyranids and Blood angels as those are the armies that I play. Lets see what changed....

Stupid Google! Stupid Microsoft!

by SandWyrm

So Google, in it's infinite wisdom, decided to finally add nested comments to blogger. But evidently they didn't bother to test it out on Internet Explorer first; as anyone who tried to read a post on our blog with the new comments found that IE (even the latest version) would lock up as it was trying to load them. Bad Google!

Of course, the Non-Microsoft browsers that I use, such as Firefox and Safari were able to handle it just fine. We can probably assume that Chrome loads them fine too. So I'm sure that Microsoft screwed something up in IE. Bad Microsoft!

Anyhow, I've had to disable the RSS feed in order to go back to the old system. Some of the comments from the last several posts may now appear out of order because of it. :(

6th Edition Tyranids

by Anonymous Foodie

So the "leak" of 6th is out.  Real or fake, we can't say just yet... but that doesn't stop us from thinking about it.

The 6th Edition Leak: Real Or Fake?

by SandWyrm

Well now, this is getting interesting. We've had a number of folks in the community call the recent 6th Edition 'Leak' a fake. Though without much in the way of evidence. But now even Tasty Taste is disavowing it. Does that settle the matter? Eh. Not really.

The Blood Angels In 6th Edition: Good And Bad

by SandWyrm

Time to see how the Blood Angels are likely to be affected by the rules in the 6th Edition 'Leak'.

The Imperial Guard In 6th Edition: Good And Bad

by SandWyrm

As I read through the 6th Edition 'Leak' that came out yesterday, I've noticed quite a few things that will both enthuse and discourage Imperial Guard Players.

6th edition leak! This may be amazing!!

by Spaguatyrine

Yes I stole this from bloodofkittens , but reading this sounds very interesting.  Blood of Kittens often has been very close to correct on their rumors in the past.

Tyranids; Alien Menace or Whipping Boy?

by Anonymous Foodie

As TheGraveMind mentioned, we've gotten some Tyranid questions of late, and it's high time we got to them.

He did a good job laying down some base ideas about the viability of the army, but being the snobby bug leader that I am, I had to put down my own thoughts on the subject...

Starting 40k with tyranids

By TheGravemind

So I guess we've had some emails in the past about starting up tyranids, and over the years I've talked to many a person who wants to play tyranids because they seem need and they like the fluff/feel of them, but are hesitant because they don't want to auto lose when 3 tanks are deployed.

Mission Implausible

Man, the last time I saw a spy movie suck this hard was Tomorrow Never Dies. No, I take that back, this one was worse.

Seasons Beatings; Bloomington Tournament Report

By TheGravemind

Templars vs Necrons. For fun.

So I, along with many other it seems went down to Bloomington's Game Preserve expecting a roughly 6 person turn out. What we got was a 20 person tournament, with almost every codex represented. They were just as shocked as we were, and had to use a second room to accommodate us all.

NOTE: This was almost a month ago, I've been slow on getting this done.

It's Not The Edition, It's The Variety

by SandWyrm

As we enter the new year, something is starting to grate on me. There's been a collective pall descending over competitive 40K for the last 6 months. Ever since the release of the GK codex, the release of Finecast, and the price rises. Most seem to be blaming this stagnation on the aging of 5th Edition. But come on, that's not it at all.
