Feast of Blades is coming up next month and I am torn again on what to bring to the party.  The new Space Marine Codex just came out and there are a ton of options.  My Eldar/Tau list did very well at Nova as seen here.

But I am torn as ........

My 1625 Mid-War List Deconstructed

I'm officially qualified for the FoW Mid-War Nationals at the end of the month, but I won't be able to go due to a conflict. So there's no harm in breaking down how my German 1625 Mid-War list works. That should help folks who might be interested in the thinking behind how a competitive Flames of War army is put together. I know it's been hard to find good info on this myself.

Stelek's been making 2000-point Late War American 3rd Infantry Division lists from the 'Dogs And Devils' book lately. So it's only fair that I see what I can come up with to defeat his 'undefeatable' defensive infantry formations. To do that, I'm going to need a German tank list to work from.

After more than 10 games I have finally come up with the force of my Dark Eldar that I will be running in future local tournaments.  They are not up to the level of my space wolves yet, but I feel they will be in 6 months of constant play.  Unfortunately I will not have them back until after the The Indy Open Grand Tournament in March.

My 'I Hate Thunderwolves' List

As regular readers of the blog know, I've been flummoxed on how to beat Spag's Space Wolves with my Guard. While his Thunderwolves aren't that big a deal for my Blood Angels (or even Tyranids) to kill, they're a real hell for my IG to deal with. Toughness 5, stormshields, unique equipment, and huge cover-touching bases make them VERY resilient to ranged fire. Like Nob Bikers on steroids. While their cavalry status gives them the ability to hop out of cover in the movement phase, run, and then assault up to 12" in a wide arc that can easily hit 2-3 tanks at once.

Musings on a 1750 ork list

So I have been playing around with a few new builds of late. Heck whatever, its still orks, and still a fast playing army, but at 1500 I feel pretty happy with my build as long as I don't play Spag. lol. What I have is a decently "balanced" take on all comers list at 1750 for the upcoming tournament. The last time I made a 1500 list and posted here, all of you helped me immensely to make that list the best I could get. So here is the new list.

So Farmpunk shared around an email we got requesting Jump pack related Marines. I can't speak for the others but I get a bit giddy talking about my plastic flying men, and I'm always happy to share.

While I’m still trying out possibilities for my Blood angels in regards to a Jumpers list, I want to share what I’ve learned for others who want to give them a try. As I see it you have three main options. Hybrid jumpers, DOA, and The Sanguanary elite. Now Sandwyrm has a better concept of how to with his Emo-wing so I’ll let him explain that if he wants. From my understanding it is an all terminator list that trades invulnerable saves for mobility. I will be covering the hybrid jumpers and DOA armies.

Grey Knights At 1500: Pure and Balanced

Ok, I'm getting really tired of seeing nothing but GK Razor-Spam lists out there. Sure, it's an option. But wouldn't you rather do something a little more exciting with Grey Knights than the exact same thing that everyone's already doing with Space Wolves and Blood Angels?
