I have no idea where this is from (Japan?), though the quality of the lighting makes me think it's a real-world attraction of some sort. Wish I could see it in person. :)

I use a photo of it as my avatar. It's been moved a couple of times. It was build to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gundam. I think it's on the level of Star Wars or Star Trek in Japanese pop culture.
