Stelek posted a good in-depth critique of the US tourney system on YTTH couple of days ago. Including an excellent examination of how different pairing systems work. It's got a few bad words in it, but is otherwise free of his usual emo-drama. In fact, it's the best posting he's done in a long, long, time.
