So at long last the Tyranid FAQ is come! You can find it here. Also as a side note, the Blood Angel's FAQ was also released, but I have yet to read through it. There are more pressing matters at hand. So here is a brief overview of the tyranid FAQ and how it will effect the Tyranid Players out there.

TheGraveMind's Indy40k Tourney results
By TheGraveMind
As many of you may have noticed, courteous of Farmpunk's post with pictures, there was a Indy40k Tournament recently that we attended. Above is my army, I know not very intimidating. Compared to the other armies there, my models looked atrocious. They were hardly painted and not to my standard. Something around 850 points of my 1500 were anti-mech, as I was assuming I was to face tons of full mech list. It seemed that many of them were tired from ard boyz. There was only one IG player and he seemed a bit new.

Coming Soon...
by SandWyrm
I thought I'd share a work-in-progress pic of my next army after Guard. :)
Farmpunk and I had another close game tonight. I'll post a full batrep later this week.

Indy 40K pics
By: farmpunk
pics for you! I went to the first Indy 40K tournament last weekend, and here are some teaser pics of the armies. I didn't get everyone's names, and I'm feeling like I've missed a few armies. It seems like there were more people there to me. I'll put in some names, and you guys can help me with the rest.

sneaky =I= PDFs
by: farmpunk
I wanted to be early to spot the Inquisition PDF's. I wanted to see if my hunches were right.
ok, I wanted to see WHICH of my hunches were right. Since What GW tells us, or more likely DOESN'T tell us with the PDF releases for WH and DH might give some insight into plans. or lack thereof.

2 die 4 tourney 5/1/10
by: farmpunk
A long time ago (I kept meaning to write up game 1, but never was able to find the time), I went down to Games 2d4 for their tourney. It was 1750pts, mono-codex. Mono-codex was a tough one for me. I usually run WitchHunters w/inducted IG. I've got plenty painted up for 1750 of WH/IG. Not so much for mono-WH. I'd contemplated painting up my GK's and borrowing a LRC from Chambers. I'd thought about borrowing SandWyrm's IG, since he wasn't going to go.
I went with my first love of 40K. WitchHunters. lots and lots of nuns with guns. and light tanks. I had 10, I could have done 11, but as it was, I had to borrow one Immo, and use one crappy =I= Chimera.

hobby update - Howling Griffons
by Wienas
A small hobby update today. I've been working feverishly on terrain for the tournament this weekend, and had to take a break last night. I got this guy finished. I've got to say, I had a great time painting this scheme. It was very challenging, but I think he turned out pretty well. I had to go back and re-touch the areas where the red and yellow meet at least a dozen times throughout the process. The base is from Secret Weapon Miniatures. Any questions or comments are welcome.

'Ard Boyz Semis Report, Part II
by SandWyrm
Have you ever done technical work late at night? Trying to finish, say, that last bit of computer coding to make everything work, only to give up, exhausted, in defeat and go to bed? Then, the next day you wake up, look at what you did the night before and wonder "What the heck were you thinking?".
Yeah, that's how I feel about this year's 'Ard Boyz Semi-Finals. Man, what was I thinking?

'Ard Boyz Semis Report, Part I
by SandWyrm
So I drove for 3 hours up into the middle of nowhere (Kendallville, IN) for the 'Ard Boyz Semi-Finals. The venue was Sinclair Games and Comics, which was a surprisingly large game store for such a small town. Evidently they draw players from the city of Fort Wayne and other nearby towns.

Another Color Question: Ork Army Scheme?
by SandWyrm
Hello SandWyrm,
let me start with saying that I like the three articles about color theory on your blog very much. It was very informative, but I still got a question.
Reader Question: Color Theory and Citadel Paints
by SandWyrm
Hello,
I just discovered your blog through SandWyrm's excellent series on color theory. I enjoyed it immensely and will now have to try some Analogous and Complementary harmony (I always wondered why my color combinations never
quite satisfied me).
My question is: how does the untrained eye discern where individual citadel
paints fall on the color wheel and determine analogous hues? Is there a
table somewhere that shows this or is it simply something that you have to
play with until it 'feels right'?
Thanks for any help,
-Harding
