Just to provide some additional information:
ReplyDeleteI'd like to assure people that I'm putting a lot of thought into these "bonus points." They will not be "strength of victory" situations like 'Ard Boyz; whenever possible I'm trying to come up with situations that are somewhat antithetical to the mission being played, rather than saying "if you win, have a bonus point! if you CRUSH, have two bonus points!"
The missions themselves are likely to be fairly simple--this is a competitive event, but it's also running parallel to our Escalation League, so we're hoping to pull in some new players. This is also why I'm going with these bonus points rather than trying to stuff in a fourth round--especially since we'd still have a tie for first after four rounds in a 32-player tournament.
We do expect to fill up, so sign up soon. Similarly, if you sign up and find out you cannot make it, please call in and make sure that you're taken off the list.
I'd really like to make it, but right now I'm asking off for the 15th, then my birthday, and I'm not sure if I can ask off for yet another saturday. But, if I happen to not have a job, then I'll definitely sign up. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good event. I hope work will let me have another weekend off so that I can attend as well. If not I hope the event goes well for you guys.
ReplyDeletei will be there
ReplyDelete1/3rd of the field is full. Please call or email your information to me asap. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe'll see how the bonus objectives work. This was actually an idea that I thought of too. You seem to be approaching it like I would. :)
