So the next big wave of "rumors" has hit. Looks like Necrons are next. In the August/September timeframe. Which is a few months sooner than most expected. I'll hazard an educated guess and say we'll get Templars in November and Tau in Jan/Feb.

wow. they're actually going to stick with the original timeline, and not delay like they did with DE and GK's?
ReplyDeletewe'll see.
From the latest stuff I've heard, Sisters are delayed indef. They were strongly rumored to be this winter.
I think I'd be ok with templar in Nov. not that I really care for them. They need some loves too.
I'd rather see the Tau in November, but GW likes it's Imperial->Xenos->Imperial->Xenos release pattern, and the Templars are the only Imperials we've heard any rumors about after the Sisters got delayed.
ReplyDeleteFrom a strictly competitive standpoint, I'd rather see Chaos Marines and Craftworld Eldar get updated before the Templars.
wyrm: i agree a chaos or eldar dex SHOULD be the next one.
ReplyDeletealthough i still am upset about the sisters coming out later due to problems with the moulds i guess. this WOULD however slate them forward to a later 2012 or 2013 release that could coincide with the new AOBR box set
And no! I won't go and buy them! No matter how broken they are. It would be nice to see more necrons on the tables. I have had enough sisters for a while.
ReplyDeleteive got about 50 necron warriors just sitting at home waiting to be cyborked up for my orks.

ReplyDeleteFNP is important for your mom, since well it IS steve.
ReplyDeleteEventhough Farmpunks mother could be an interesting subject, if I actually knew her, lets get back to the subject shall we ? :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Chaos Space Marines soon, 2 reasons really:
1. I am quite fond of them, and I play them myself :)
2. They could need a review.
/J
No one can argue that the little machine men don't need updated FIRST and formost. They are cool looking models, and they are really cool fluff wise. I mean who didn't like the Persian Immortals?!
ReplyDeletePast that, I say Eldar, and then Chaos Space Marines should be the next set of books. In that order. The reason for this you ask. Well Templar can still win...religiously. (did you see what I did there?) And Tau can still beat the snot out of both Chaos, and Eldar with a couple good dice. So yeah I think that the Chaos Marines need to get their codex second to the Eldar...as Eldar just are overpriced, and underpowered. Past that. I can't wait to see how the machines turn out!!!!
Eldar still have a couple of good builds in them. While Tau only have one. But you're right that the Templars are just fine for now. Even pre-FAQ I've never had an easy game against them with my IG. Right now I'd say they're better than Sisters overall.
ReplyDeleteChaos is already down to a mono-build, which considering the book's age is pathetic. They're also a horribly bland codex.
i am loooking forward to a new named hq for the necrons. The regular necrons are fine. The flayed ones need more skin on them i think, and of course immortals need a rebuild.
ReplyDeletei was talking to a friend who i generally believe on his info, and he was talking about a huge flying metal creature that will be coming out with the new codex. imagine a serpentine flyer that works like a tomb spyder.
The only thing that I want to see changed is the dang Warscythe. That thing is crazy. I'm a power weapon. But I ignore your invul save!!! Bye bye thunder hammers. Stupid Pariahs!
ReplyDeletezerkex: come on, the xenos dont have all that many tough armies. give them something. ya know what i mean. :)
ReplyDelete@Uberdark
ReplyDeleteIs this what you mean?
http://darkfuturegaming.blogspot.com/2010/09/necron-tomb-stalker-crons-take-lesson.html
nope. there are talkies of a necron worm like creature with wings.
ReplyDeleteIt might be part of the Summer of Flyers release.
ReplyDeleteThe FW Centipede is creepy lookin though.
well as many people have heard and i think we discussed last night, eventually all codices will have a flyer, monsterous creature. I've also seen a few pics of the rumored harpie for the nids. That release in itself should be cool. Too bad, its stats arent that amazing. lol
